I had never heard of this author before but the book was recommended to me so I thought I'd give it a try. Wow!!! It wasn't long before I was completely wrapped up in the story line and its characters. They seemed so real; almost life-like. Alaura Shouse did such an amazing job with this book. I felt like I was right there, watching the storyline unfold. Alaura Shouse knows how to write a great book! I could not put it down and even though I was sad to get to the end of the storyline, the author doesn't leave you hanging, wondering what happened or why things happened the way they did. She wraps everything up for a great ending. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure, a little romance and a great story! It's definitely a book I'd read again.

Beautifully written, she tells an amazing story and I can't wait for the second book.

Very passionately written. I bit my fingers through a good chunk of the book! Enjoyed the depth of the main male characters personality. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Absolutely awesome novel. Was stuck in it right from the preface. Exciting characters and story line. Can't wait for the second book in the endeavor saga. A must read.
I truly enjoyed this story! Although both characters have flaws, they are striving to live better lives. They both have mistrust, yet learn to trust again. Ms. Shouse's ability to provide physical and natural descriptions draw in the reader. I grew up visiting this area of Montana and descriptions of the area made me feel like I had returned.

A wonderful combination of supernatural and human nature. I look forward to the next in the trilogy!
Thought the previous review was sort of mean spirited instead of trying to be helpful, but how seriously can you take a review when someone uses "hole" instead of "whole"? Anyway, I thought the writing was well done. Beautiful descriptions really helped to paint pictures of characters, action, and surroundings. Great story - flickers of Twilight, but totally different. Loved Aubrey, a strong female character. And Finch made me feel sympathy for what happened to his life, and admiration for his character - he was beautiful inside and out. Will definitely read the next book in the series.
